Safer Alternatives to Toxic Chemicals Monday, May 19, 6:00 - 8:00pm. Toxic Chemicals are killing us! Come meet two local activists from the Women's Community Cancer Project (WCCP), Rita and Margo. WCCP began at the Women's Center and is a member of the Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow, a broad coalition of over 150 Massachusetts organizations-health, environmental, labor, scientific, faith and community groups-currently promoting a state bill to promote safer alternatives to toxic chemicals. "Contaminated Without Consent," a 17-min video on the steps we can take to reduce the impact of these chemicals in our lives, will be shown.
Telling Our Own Stories: A Creative Writing Workshop 1-3:30pm, starting 5/31 and continuing for 6 weeks (through 7/12). Want to get your creative writing juices flowing? Survivors of Incest Anonymous, Nothing Too Heavy to Share
NTHTS is a support group for survivors of severe sexual abuse, such as torture, forced isolation, severe neglect and/or sexual exploitation. The group is based on a 12-step model.
