    Film screening: Generation M. This month’s film is a 2008 documentary that examines the breadth and depth of misogyny in media that is specifically aimed at children and teens. The film puts a focus on the hyper-sexualization of girls and the increasing encouragement of violence among boys. Interviews with gender violence prevention educators Jackson Katz, Byron Hurt and Jean Kilborne are also included.

    "Clownin' Around" Taught by teacher, director, and movement artist Naomi Bennett. Naomi has a degree in Collaborative Theatre and Directing from UMass Amherst, is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts, and has studied movement and clowning around the world.
    Clowns live in their own worlds, with their own rules, often silly and ridiculous to the outside viewer. In this fun-filled workshop we will learn by playing games that encourage the development of imagination and play. Come ready to play and have fun, and let your inner clown (and child) come out. Survivors of Incest Anonymous, Nothing Too Heavy to Share
NTHTS is a support group for survivors of severe sexual abuse, such as torture, forced isolation, severe neglect and/or sexual exploitation. The group is based on a 12-step model. There is a screening process to ensure the safety of all participants. Please contact Ming at 617-354-6394 for more information.

Survivor Theatre Project Fall Acting Intensive
Last call for participants for the Survivor Theatre Project, Fall Acting Intensive. No Acting or Artistic Experience Required. TIMEFRAME: September/October/November 2010, 2 Nights/Week for 10 Weeks, Concluding with a final Presentation & Dialogue for an Invited Audience. INCEST RESOURCES’ 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION! Sunday, 10/17, 7pm at Central Square Theater. This year is the 30th year of the first organization in the country for survivors of child sexual abuse. The event includes art exhibit “Speaking Truth to the Next Generation: A Quilt Exhibit about Incest” by the Survivor Quilt Project, and performance “Rescuing Persephone: Surviving and Transforming Sexual Violence” by the Survivor Theatre Project.
