      <image:caption>Laura McMurry Laura is our Maintenance Volunteer. She began helping around 2008 and has assisted in a variety of capacities related to the house and garden. Her jobs have included fixing vacuum cleaners and toilets, changing locks, painting, assembling IKEAs, hanging curtains, dabbling in internet and computer issues, gardening, shoveling snow, nursing the wheelchair lift, and chasing wasps. She can often be found doing this in conjunction with Judy. Laura contributes to many critical projects to help keep the building operations running at the Center.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Marie Schick Interim Executive Director Marie is a veteran nonprofit executive who now leads CWC strategy and operations. As the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer, she handles long-term planning, staffing, budgeting, vendor and partner relations as well as day-to-day preparations, food service, and interactions with CWC’s members. A native of Minneapolis, Marie started out in advertising before moving into advancement marketing for nonprofits and higher education. Her varied experience has included print, digital, and events management for Mass Audubon and Harvard, Tufts, and Simmons Universities. She’s a principal in Schick Creative, the boutique marketing consultancy she founded with her husband. Marie holds a B.A. from Marquette University and an M.Ed. from Lesley University. Marie lives in nearby Watertown, where she and her husband vacuum up hair from their energetic foster dogs.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Kasandra Gonzalez Women’s Resources Coordinator In Spring 2026, Kasandra graduated from Lasell University with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensic Criminology, and is pursuing a Master’s in Victim Advocacy.  As our Women’s Resources Coordinator, she provides direct support to our community through resource navigation, job application assistance, and programming, including art and grief groups, for our community. Kasandra’s academic background informs her trauma-informed and deeply empathetic approach. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she is committed to creating inclusive spaces where women feel supported, empowered, and connected to essential resources.</image:caption>

Her career has included direct service work, political campaigns, communications, community relations, and organizational advancement. Vicky is a former Legal Aid litigator, Policy Director, Deputy General Counsel, and Public Affairs professional. As our Volunteer Program &amp; Internship Manager, Vicky supports our efforts to steward our volunteer partnership agencies, guide new volunteers as well as more deeply engage current ones, and oversee meaningful internships. A native New Yorker, Vicky is a graduate of Wesleyan University and Fordham University School of Law. Her hobbies include yoga, pilates, and hiking.</image:caption>

In addition to her clinical expertise, Stephanie brings a strong foundation in nonprofit management and governance, having served on various advisory boards and as a consultant for organizations seeking to enhance their mental health initiatives.  She holds a Master of Social Work from Smith College and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Tufts University. Born and raised in Arkansas, Stephanie is a happy transplant to New England since 1994. She currently resides in central Massachusetts along with her husband and chocolate lab.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Jenny Rabinowich Board Co-chair Jenny has spent most of her career working to address disparities faced by low-income women and children, both in the United States and abroad. She spent several years in management positions at a West Africa-based community health non-profit, until the COVID-19 pandemic inspired her to go back to school for nursing.  She now works as an RN at Massachusetts General Hospital. She holds a B.A. from Haverford College, an M.P.H. from Drexel University, and a B.S.N. from MGH Institute for Health Professions. Jenny has been involved with the CWC as a drop-in volunteer since moving to Cambridge in 2019, and joined the Board in 2023. She is passionate about ensuring that all community members feel welcomed and supported. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, doing anything artistic, and going on long walks by the Charles River.</image:caption>

She has experience working in academic and biotechnology research, currently working as a scientist in Cambridge, MA.  Passionate and committed to social equity, Lauren has been a life-long volunteer with Girls Scouts of America and has participated in volunteering with several other organizations in healthcare, education, churches, and food pantries. She has launched multiple national volunteer-based programs facilitating goods to families experiencing sudden homelessness. Additionally, she founded community programs dedicated towards assisting young adults in low-income and troubled homes.  Lauren has been involved in the CWC as a drop-in volunteer since February of 2025.</image:caption>

She received her Doctorate in Behavioral Health Management from Arizona State University.  She has spent more than seven years working in the field of behavioral health from substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and community outreach engagement in Tennessee. Dr. C. has been a member of National Hook-Up of Black Women since 2013, which amplifies women’s voices and accomplishments, and focuses on initiatives that improve social conditions for women and children.</image:caption>

As a co-founder and past president of a national educational non-profit, she led the transformation of a startup concept into a robust network of college and university members dedicated to increasing access and success for women in engineering and science.  Nationally recognized for her initiatives to reduce systemic barriers in STEM fields, Susan received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring. She has served as Executive Director of University Culture and Engagement at Stevens Institute of Technology for 13 years. Susan holds degrees from Boston University and Seton Hall University. A Cambridge resident for the past four years, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking the “bridge to bridge” loop along the Charles River.</image:caption>

She has been a drop-in volunteer at the Cambridge Women's Center since 2023 and values CWC’s role as a consistent, welcoming space for female-identifying individuals in the community. She is especially interested in supporting the CWC’s outreach, long-term sustainability, and continued growth. Since then, she has focused her attention on volunteer activities at Mt. Auburn Hospital, The Home for Little Wanderers, and Cambridge Public Schools, as well as Board roles with GiGi's Playhouse NYC and CWC. Most recently, she was CWC's Board Chair until 2025. She received her B.A. in Economics from Boston College in 1972 and her M.B.A. from the Loyola University Graduate School of Business.       <image:caption>Judy Norris CWC Co-founder, Board Chair Emeritus Judy, along with many others, was involved in founding the Cambridge Women’s Center in 1971, now the longest-serving community organization dedicated to “women” in the United States. She has been volunteering and welcoming community members since CWC opened its doors in 1972!  Judy feels honored to be part of an organization that is committed to providing a welcoming space to so many individuals who are navigating homelessness, poverty, mental health challenges, isolation, abuse, and much more. An organization that strives to treat everyone with respect and kindness, and that offers both heartfelt emotional support and practical and necessary assistance. She has been active since the start: Organizing and hosting programming, developing partnerships, securing resources, writing grant proposals, managing the archives, mentoring staff and volunteers, and, most importantly, welcoming and engaging with CWC community members.  These days, you will often find her visiting with guests during our Open Kitchen and Pantry hours, composting, and tending to maintenance tasks.  She proudly graduated from Wellesley College in 1961, has two children, and 4 grandchildren. She loves a good, and is an avid walker and Wordler!</image:caption>
