Body Positive Book Club. Zoom. *READING NOT REQUIRED* Wednesday, 2/25, 6:30pm. The Book: Flawless: Lessons in Looks and Culture from the K-Beauty Capital by Elise Hu. A deeply reported exploration of South Korea's global beauty industry and cultural obsession with perfection that looks at the social, economic, and psychological costs of striving for a "flawless" appearance. Drivers of Hope. ON-SITE. Thursday, 2/19, 3:30-4:30pm. We will explore the intersection of literacy and hope, in a support group that helps each participant develop and strengthen their resiliency as they navigate the challenges life presents. Info: dreambetweentheline@gmail.com

Expressive Arts Group: Practice Self-Empathy. ON-SITE. Saturdays, 2-3:30/4pm. In this expressive arts group you will increase self-awareness. You are an expert in knowing who you are. We practice self-empathy, explore our own expressions and find strength, hope, and affirmation in a supportive way.

Fiber Arts Circle (formerly Knitting and Crochet Circle). ON-SITE. Saturdays, 2/7 & 2/21, 11am-1pm.  Collaborate and enjoy fiber arts with other knit or crochet creators! We have an experienced knitter who can help anyone who is starting, but beginner crochet will have to be learned independently. Yarn and supplies provided. Let’s Write! ZOOM. Monday, 2/16, 11am-noon. The writing process can be a satisfying way to communicate your thoughts. Through exercises and prompts, this friendly group will help you write new material and explore new ideas (and to share if you want). No previous creative writing experience needed. Nonviolent (Compassionate) Communication. ZOOM. Spanish-English Conversation Exchange. ZOOM. Wednesdays, 1-2:30pm. ¿Hablas español y estás interesada en mejorar tu inglés? La intención es hacerlo de una forma amable y relajada. Straight Marriage, Still Questioning. ZOOM. Monday, 2/9, 7-9pm, and Tuesday, 2/10, 12-1:30pm. A confidential peer-led support group for the woman in a long-term straight relationship struggling with her sexual orientation. Screening required. Info/link: kate.e.flynn@gmail.com

 

The Resilience Toolkit. ON-SITE. Thursdays, 2/5 & 2/12, 3-4:30pm. These are experiential workshops about how stress affects the body, emotions, and relationships, and specific things you can do to reduce stress and increase your resilience. Trauma Support/Discussion Group. ZOOM. Thursdays, 7-9pm. An intimate group where women can share and get support for all forms of trauma, past and present. Women’s Coping Group. GOOGLE MEETS. Tuesdays, 2/3 & 17, 6-7:15pm. A general support group held in a dynamic, open, non-judgmental space for women who are seeking support in their lives.
